1. Start Your Day with Intention
The morning routine has been glamorized as the secret to success. Some people even suggest waking up at 5 AM to make significant progress in your life.
Sure, some people swear by their early morning routines, more power to them. But if that’s not your cup of tea, here’s the thing: success isn’t determined by what time you start your day. It’s determined by how you start your day.
Let me elaborate on this idea.
When you wake up just 30 minutes before you need to leave the house, what happens? You rush through your morning, doing only the bare minimum, and off you go.
You start your day feeling stressed.
This is what needs to be changed.
You need to start your day calmly and set your intentions for the day. Yes, to do this, you probably need to wake up a bit earlier to give yourself some time to mentally prepare for the day ahead.
You don’t have to follow the “That Girl” morning routine (if you’ve watched too many morning routine videos on YouTube, you know what I mean). All you need is to sit, drink a glass of water, take a deep breath, and simply be present.
What is one thing that needs to be done today to make this day successful?
Answer this question then you’re ready to win your day.

2. Hydrate First Thing
What does drinking water have to do with success?
A lot.
First, from a health standpoint.
Drinking water will rehydrate your body after 6-8 hours of sleep, flush out toxins, boost your metabolism, and make your skin glow from within.
It’s hard to achieve your goals if your health isn’t in its best shape.
But there’s more.
Train yourself to drink a glass of water in the morning will signal to your brain that you take your health seriously. It build discipline that you start your day with something beneficial for you.
However, let’s be real. Not everybody is a fan of plain water. If this sounds like you, you can make infused water by adding fruits (lemon or strawberry), vegetables (cucumber or celery), or herbs (mint or rosemary) for a hint of flavor.
To make sure you’re doing it, make it as easy as possible. Prepare your infused water at night before you go to sleep and put your glass next to your bed.

3. Move Your Body
To be a successful woman, you need all the energy you can get. This is why taking care of your physical health is a must. Thankfully, you don’t need to do crazy things. Twenty minutes walk every day can make you feel better in the long run.
I know this from personal experience.
I started walking in my apartment park in 2020 to stay sane. But then, after 3 months I notice that I look better in my clothes. This motivated me to do more.
Now, I aim for 10,000 steps daily and do Pilates using free YouTube videos twice a week.
So, start with the easiest thing for you. If you’re not sure what you like, try classes like yoga, dancing, kickboxing, Pound Fitness, pilates, and more. Find what you enjoy the most!
What happens if you don’t make body movement a priority?
You’re sitting for 8 hours, sleeping for another 8, and spending the rest of your time as a couch potato while scrolling mindlessly.
You can’t expect to be healthy with that kind of daily routine.

4. Plan Your Day
Have you ever spent the whole day running around like a headless chicken, only to realize you didn’t accomplish anything that really mattered?
Well, you’re not alone. I think most of us have this experience from time to time.
Thankfully, the solution is easy. You need to plan your day before it starts.
You can plan your day in the morning before you start working. Or by the end of the day, you decide what you must do tomorrow.
If you don’t have a plan for your day, other people will plan it for you. People from email, your coworkers, your boss, and even an Instagram Reel will ask for your attention. Before you know it, the day is over and you wonder where the time goes.
You don’t need to use fancy system to have high productive day. A plain piece of paper with numbers 1 to 3 is enough. Yes, only set 3 priorities to do for a day. If you set a laundry list, you’ll be disappointed with yourself at the end of the day because you don’t cross everything.
That’s not the best way to wrap up your day.
Your to-do list will serve as a compass to keep you on track. If your boss asks you to take on something new, show her your list and ask which task you should deprioritize to make room for her request.

5. Take Breaks to Breathe
This might not be something you expect.
To get success, people always imagine that you need to be the hardest worker in the room. Fortunately, though, that’s not always the case.
There’s no point working hard if you do the wrong thing. And sometimes, with everything that was thrown at us, we lost track in the middle of the day.
That’s why making time to slow down and check on yourself can be helpful. Ask yourself, “How do I feel right now?”
Do you feel tired? Do you feel bored? What makes you feel that way?
You can be surprised by what you notice when you stop and see inside you. Learn to trust yourself that if you feel something inside, there should be a good reason. It’s a sign you need to dig deeper to identify the core problem.

6. Do One Random Act of Kindness
Okay, this might sound random, but I believe that practicing kindness every day helps you become someone who cares about others. Empathy is a rare and valuable trait these days.
So, what does this have to do with being a successful woman?
Well, when you have empathy, you care about people—and those who can solve problems are highly valued in both business and the workforce.
But how exactly you can do random kindness every day?
All start will small gestures.
You can hold the elevator for someone, compliment a stranger, buy coffee for the person behind you in line, or even share a genuine smile with your coworkers.
However, it’s important to distinguish between being kind and being taken advantage of. Spreading kindness doesn’t mean letting others exploit you. You must set the boundaries for what you’re willing to do and what you’re not.

7. Learn Something New
When we’re at school, growth happens automatically because we need to keep up with the system. From one assignment to the final exam, you must do what it takes to pass.
However, when you graduate, growth becomes optional. If you don’t put an effort into growing your skills, nobody will tell you to do so.
The problem is, if you want to be a successful woman, you need to excel at something.
This is why learning something new must become a daily routine of a successful woman. If you stay where you are, you’ll find yourself becoming obsolete and unable to keep up with the world.
Luckily, we live in an era where learning something new is very easy. It’s practically at your fingertips. Using your phone, you can read ebooks, listen to podcasts, watch YouTube videos, or invest in an online course.
Set the right intention like learning about anything you are curious about search for the first question that pops up in your head, and then voila you can access any blog or watch YouTube videos to gather new knowledge.
It’s much better than mindless scrolling which leads to brain rot.

8. Say No Without Guilt
Warren Buffett once said, “The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say ‘no’ to almost everything.”
This might sound harsh, but let’s unpack this further.
Let’s use a simple example.
If you want to learn Spanish, you must allocate the time to learn the language. If you dedicate one hour every day to learning Spanish, you’ll surely make progress after 6 months. At least compared with someone who does 0 hours in Spanish.
My point here is that how you spend your time will either bring you one step closer to what you want or keep you stuck where you are.
This is where saying no becomes an important skill every successful woman must master.
I believe the mindset plays a big part in setting a boundary like this.
When we say no, it doesn’t mean we reject the person. We just can’t do the thing. And by being honest, you respect that person.
Surprisingly, people don’t make a big deal of it.
Let’s say your coworker invites you to hang out after work. If you respond with, “Thanks for thinking of me, but I’ll have to pass. You all have a great time!” they’ll understand and move on with their evening.

9. Practice Gratitude
Have you ever spent time with someone who loves to complain and has a talent for turning every experience in life into a negative one?
I’m sure we all have someone in mind.
Nobody likes to hang out with Debbie Downer.
This is why having a positive outlook toward life will improve likeability. If people love to have you around, you’re more likely to get a chance on everything.
You might hear a position open before it goes to the market. Or someone might share their business tips that give you ideas for improvement.
What’s all this got to do with being grateful?
Practicing gratitude is the foundation for building a positive mindset.
You can practice gratitude by writing 3 things you’re grateful for in the day. Do it for a month to see how this attitude shapes your brain so that you can notice positive things in life.
After some time, your journal entries will start to pile up. When you’re feeling down, those pages will remind you of how far you’ve come and help lift your spirits.
How do I know it?
Because I have already done this exercise for 3 years and keep counting. My positive mindset helped me recover from a broken heart and start over my life in mid 30s.

10. Track Your Progress
What you don’t measure, you can’t improve.
That’s why successful women make it a habit to track their progress regularly, whether it’s in their career, health, or personal goals. Keeping track allows you to see how far you’ve come, identify areas for growth, and make necessary adjustments.
There are plenty of ways to track progress.
You can use a journal, apps, or simple spreadsheets. For example, you could track your to-do list completion, daily step count, or savings goal.
To make things more exciting, set milestones you want to celebrate with a reward for yourself. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive—just something fun! You could indulge in your favorite ice cream or treat yourself to a relaxing massage.
Additionally, comparing yourself to the person you were six months or a year ago can give you valuable insight into your progress. If your answer is, “I haven’t changed,” that’s a sign you might need to shake things up.

11. Get 8 Hours of Sleep
Yes, you need to sleep 8 hours at night to be a successful woman.
It’s not an option, it’s mandatory.
When you get enough sleep, you’ll wake up restfully and ready to conquer the world. Compare how you feel when you run on your day with only 2-4 hours of sleep. You’ll feel cranky and it seems that everybody hates you that day and everything goes wrong.
I’m sorry to tell you that the problem is you.
From experience, I ran on 4 hours of sleep a night for a year preparing for my university test when I was in high school. Sure, I get good grades and get into the campus I want to, but soon after that, I get hospitalized for 2 weeks.
Well, sometimes we need to learn things in hard way.
Unfortunately, society often treats lack of sleep like a badge of honor. The less you sleep, the more people see you as a hardworking go-getter. And people respect that.
Don’t fall for that trend. Give yourself the sleep that you need and let your success speak for you. Treat your sleep like an appointment you can’t miss.
Are you still not sure how important sleep is?
Then, you need to read Why We Sleep by Mathew Walker. He stated that running on sleep deprivation for too long is more like a slow form of self-euthanasia.
Yes, it’s that serious.
